Prof. Koboevic is awarded the H.A. Krentz Prize of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction

Sanda Koboevic, CEISCE member and Professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, has received the H.A. Krentz Prize of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC). She is the first woman to receive this award. Professor Koboevic is recognized for a research project on the seismic-resistant construction of foundations for steel braces at lower cost. This project is conducted in collaboration with Lydell Wiebe, Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University in Ontario, who is the co-recipient of the H.A. Krentz Award.
