CEISCE integrates members with different backgrounds, specialties and experiences. The strategic netwrok is currently composed of 35 investigators from six Quebec universities, carrying out research in various fields covering structural and geotechnical enginering, hydraulics, water management, geomatics, sustainable development and life cycle assessment. These investigators have been developing and mainting international collaborations with renowned colleagues from Canada and elesewhere. CEISCE's research professionals and technicians are highly qualified and provide essential support for the achievement of CEISCE's mission.
CEISCE relies on the complementary expertise of researchers in Quebec around the safety and rehabilitation of civil engineering structures against extreme loads and events. This complementarity is required at the risk of neglecting key factors in the understanding of the problems studied and the proposal of solutions adapted to the various civil engineering sectors concerned. One of the strengths of the CEISCE is that it succeeds in integrating co-researchers with varied academic profiles, from young people at the beginning of their careers to very experienced people, in a climate of interdisciplinary collaboration and sharing of technical resources.
The current membership of CEISCE co-investigators is listed below. Members responsible for follow-up with each institution are indicated by an asterisk (*).
CEISCE's reputation has attracted high-caliber professionals and research associates from Quebec universities and prestigious institutions around the world. They constitute an essential critical mass to carry out CEISCE's digital and experimental research programming, to ensure the management of available resources and to coordinate between the laboratories of member institutions. Several engineers and research professionals also contribute to the supervision of the center's students. This is particularly true for projects requiring advanced skills (e.g. complex experimental setups and protocols, non-linear simulations, etc.).
The current list of research professionals is provided below. The CEISCE coordinator is indicated by an asterisk (*).
In collaboration with the other members of the CEISCE, the contribution of the technicians is essential for the design and realization of the experimental projects (e.g. maintenance and start-up of the equipment and control systems and software, fabrication of specimens and test set-ups, instrumentation and data acquisition, etc.). Technicians also play an indispensable role in the supervision of students during the experimental phases of their research projects.
The list of technicians who contribute to CEISCE's research work is given below.
The CEISCE is keen to consolidate and expand collaborations with national and international partners. Many of these collaborations result in joint projects, publications, student co-directions or joint funding.
A non-exhaustive list of renowned researchers outside Quebec with whom CEISCE members have regular collaborations is given below for illustrative purposes.
