Nathalie Roy, member of CEISCE, Professor in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, received the Honoris Genius Award — Advancement of Women in the Engineering Profession from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. This award recognizes the merit of an engineer for their social involvement, their contribution to the well-being of the community, and their commitment to society. Prof. Roy is recognized for her work in structural dynamics and her participation in international sustainable development projects. With a focus on professional equity, she created the Claire-Deschênes Grand Competition to support the hiring of women professors and revised the recruitment process to promote equity and diversity.
